Sproject is founded by Sơn Đặng, an architect, artist and educator. Soon after graduating from Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture with a Bachelor degree of Architecture, he was granted scholarships from notable universities of the States including University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University and Cornell University. In 2010, he received the Professional Master of Architecture degree with advanced standing from Cornell University. He has worked on numerous international projects, both independently and collaboratively, at world-renowned architecture firms including OMA-New York, Carlos Zapata Studio-New York,  Venturi, Scott Brown & Associates-Philadelphia and Arata Isozaki & Associates-Tokyo. He has a wide range of experiences with different types of built works including hotel, restaurant, cultural complex, residential tower, conference center, private residence, commercial center, office building and theater.

His architectural works have been published in several architectural magazines in Vietnam, and displayed at the Architecture League and the Institute of Architecture & Urban Studies in New York. He is a Teaching Assistant at Cornell University. He is the recipient of James Eidlitz Travel Fellowship to conduct his research on urbanism in Berlin and Ha Noi. He is a freelance writer who publishes articles of travel and culture in Vietnam. He is also setting up an artist residential program which aims at connecting international artists with local ones in Vietnam.
